Time to suit up for the Hallmark Channel’s new three-part series, The Groomsmen!
The Groomsmen three-part series tells the stories of Pete (B.J. Britt), a kind-hearted pediatrician with a penchant for planning; Danny (Jonathan Bennett), an ex-jock with a heart of gold; and Jackson (Tyler Hynes), the stylish and charming social media agent, as they move into the next chapters of their lives.
The Groomsmen: First Look begins with Pete (B.J. Britt, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), who meets Chelsea (Heather Hemmens, Roswell, New Mexico), an adventurous traveling surgeon, at a wedding where she’s maid of honor to Danny’s sister. Their awkwardly charming first meeting sparks a real connection, but Chelsea’s demanding career soon tests the possibility of anything more. As feelings deepen, Pete and Chelsea must navigate the challenges of a long-distance relationship — and the sacrifices it entails.
The next chapter follows Danny (Jonathan Bennett, Mean Girls), an assistant baseball coach, who finally realizes he’s in love with his best friend and manager, Zack (Alexander Lincoln, Doctors). But just as Danny is ready to confess his feelings, Zack announces he’s engaged! Danny, ever the supportive friend, declares himself the “best man ever” and helps plan the wedding in Greece. With unexpected twists, Danny and Zack explore the fine line between friendship and love — and how sometimes, the right moment comes when you least expect it.
Set months after Danny’s story, the final chapter follows Jackson (Tyler Hynes, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story) — a dedicated dad, thriving social media agent, and self-proclaimed lifelong bachelor — as he temporarily moves to Italy to be closer to his teenage daughter, Betty (Chloe Raphael, Bodies). While adjusting to co-parenting in a new country and feeling adrift without his friends, Jackson meets Gabriella (Elena Rusconi, 6 Underground), a charming local café owner. Though love is the last thing on his mind, those closest to him — including Betty — see a spark he can’t ignore. Sometimes, the biggest surprises come when you least expect them — and everyone deserves a second chance at love.

What one won’t do to protect a sibling! The best selling novel, What We Hide is now on the big screen.
Based on Colleen Coble’s best selling novel, What We Hide is a powerful story of survival and sisterly bond. The film follows Spider (McKenna Grace) and Jessie (JoJo Regina), a pair of sisters whose mother dies from an overdose. The two conceal her body in an attempt to prevent being separated through the foster care system. Jesse Williams plays a sheriff, who looks into the matter, while Dacre Montgomery plays the mother’s drug dealer.
Written and directed by Dan Kay, the film stars stars Mckenna Grace, Jojo Regina, Dacre Montgomery, Malia Baker, Jesse Williams, Forrest Goodluck and Fernanda Andrade.
This emotional and devastating thriller casts a light on the harm substance abuse can have on an entire family and community. Audiences will be blown away by the impressive and heartfelt performances by McKenna Grace and Jojo Regina.
WHAT WE HIDE On Digital and On Demand on August 29th
I spoke with stars McKenna Grace and Jojo Regina about bonding and playing these emmotionally charged roles.

From the Creator of Dawson’s Creek and Scream the series THE WATERFRONT where blood is thicker than water is captivating audiences on Netflix.
Inspired by true events, The Waterfront dives into the flawed Buckley family as their attempts to retain control of their crumbling North Carolina fishing empire drive them to increasingly dangerous means to keep themselves afloat. The Waterfront was created by Kevin Williamson (Dawson’s Creek, Scream), under his overall deal with Universal Television. Ben Fast also executive produces.
The Waterfront premiered on Netflix on June 19, which quickly climbed Netflix’s ranks landing in the #1 slot, globally. The Waterfront is one of only 4 new dramas this year to reach #1 on Netflix’s global Top 10, with 53.3M hours viewed in its first week.
The series stars Holt McCallany as Harlan, the ruthless patriarch of a North Carolina fishing family. The series explores the family's attempts to maintain control of their crumbling fishing empire through increasingly dangerous means. McCallany's character is a complex figure, having built the Buckley fishery with his father, sometimes resorting to illegal activities. He is a man who loves his whiskey and hasn't changed much after two heart attacks, but his departure from the family business forces him to return to protect it.
Holt McCallany received widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Detective Bill Tench in the Netflix series Mindhunter for director David Fincher. He’ll return to Netflix this year in The Waterfront, premiering June 19, 2025. Current films include The Amateur and Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning. He recently appeared in the feature films The Iron Claw, Nightmare Alley, and Wrath of Man among others. Holt has appeared in dozens of films such as Fight Club, Shot Caller, Men of Honor, and Three Kings to name a few. He'll make his directorial debut with an adaptation of Guiseppe Tornatore’s Oscar-nominated The Star Maker.
SEASON ONE OF THE HIT SERIES “THE WATERFRONT” IS CURRENTLY STREAMING ON NETFLIX
I had a great chat with Holt about the series, his love for Canada, Mind Hunter and his praise of former Mind Hunter co-star Jonathan Groff.
