THE RAINMAKER ( NEW SERIES) - WE CHAT WITH STARS LANA PARRILLA and MILO CALLAGHAN

Based on the best-selling novel by John Grisham, ( and the feature film starring Matt Damon) - Rudy Baylor, who is fresh out of law school, goes head-to-head with courtroom lion Leo Drummond as well as his law school girlfriend, Sarah. Rudy, along with his boss, Bruiser, and her disheveled paralegal, Deck, uncover two connected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.

I LOVE that Lana’s character ( played by Mickey Rourke in the film ) is now a woman and boy does she give Mickey a run for his money. The brash ballsy woman is just what the Dr ordered and Lana plays her expertly.

Cast includes Milo Callaghan as Rudy Baylor, John Slattery, Lana Parrilla, ( in the gender beding role of Bruiser), Madison Iseman, P.J. Byrne, Dan Fogler, Wade Briggs and Robyn Cara.

Milo Callaghan plays Rudy Baylor on the series. He can currently be seen in Video Nasty for the BBC, Rivals for Disney+, and Dune: Prophecy for HBO. Previous TV credits include FBI: International, The Spanish Princess and Doctor Who. On the film side, Callaghan appeared in the horror trilogy The Strangers. Callaghan is a graduate of Cambridge University.

Lana Parrilla plays Jocelyn “Bruiser” Stone. Parrilla is well known for her role over seven seasons on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. For her work on the show, she received the NHMC Impact Award, an ALMA Award for Outstanding TV Actress, a Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2016 and was voted by fans as TV Guide’s Best Villain. Recent TV projects include The Lincoln Lawyer and Why Women Kill. Earlier TV series on Parrilla’s resume include Semper Fi, Spin City, Boomtown (for which she received an Imagen Award), Swingtown, NYPD Blue, Lost and Six Feet Under.

The Rainmaker Premieres Friday, August 15th at 10pm ET/PT on USA;
Episodes will be available to stream on Peacock one week after air
