STEPHEN MOYER TELLS US ALL ABOUT HIS NEW DRAMA SERIES, ART DETECTIVES

Masterpieces, Master Criminals, Masterminds! All will be revealed in the new Acorn TV Original Series ART DETECTIVES .. which follows two art-loving detectives who solve murders connected to the world of Art and Antiques.

Stephen Moyer as a good guy? Yes - it’s true and he’s wonderful in the new series, Art Detectives. Each episode follows DI Mick Palmer (Moyer) and DC Shazia Malik (Nina Singh) as they navigate a rich and colorful world driven by greed, obsession, lust and revenge. Throughout the season, the artfully astute detectives encounter a fake Vermeer, Viking gold, a rare Chinese vase and items rescued from the Titanic.

Mick navigates these demanding cases while managing a budding romance with museum curator Rosa (Sarah Alexander – Coupling, Green Wing) and the sudden reappearance of his charismatic father, Ron (Larry Lamb – Gavin & Stacey, EastEnders), who just happens to be one of Britain’s most notorious forgers.

Stephen Moyer has just completed the role of Jolyon Senior in a new series of THE FORSYTE SAGA for PBS Masterpiece. He recently starred as Teddy Bass in SEXY BEAST for Paramount+, for which he also directed two episodes. He will also soon be seen in Season 3 of the hit Netflix Series, The Night Agent.

He is perhaps best known for the leading role of Bill Compton in Alan Ball’s long running HBO series TRUE BLOOD alongside Anna Paquin, which racked up numerous Golden Globe and Emmy nominations on its way to becoming one of HBO’s highest rated shows of all time. Television credits include CBS’ new hit ‘Elsbeth’, Marvels series ’The Gifted’, FX’s mini-series, THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER for Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, and SHOTS FIRED, created by Gina Bythewood for Fox Studios.
