Lemonade Blessing is a coming of age movie like you’ve never seen before!

Lemonade Blessing makes it’s world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. With wonderful and heartfelt performances from it’s stars Jake Ryan and Skye Alyssa Friedman the film is set at a private Catholic high school and explores faith, first loves and the growing pains of adolescence

John (Jake Ryan) whose devout mother places him in the school falls head over heels for a devious classmate Lilith ( Friedman). Lilith who connects with John is a rebel with a hatred of her strict religious upbringing and is ready to push his faith (and morals) to the brink with a series of increasingly uncomfortable actions, all in the name of love.   

Writer/Director Chris Merola tackles the suppressed ideals of young people taking part in organized religion with comedic and dramatic affect. The raunchy and playful piece unearths an R-rated investigation into the romantic and comedic trials of puberty and the complex pressures facing American youth today.

I spoke with stars Jake Ryan ( who has been in two Wes Anderson films) and Skye Alyssa Friedman ( in her first feature film role) about faith, adolesence and sloppy kisses.
