There’s more Murder In A Small Town as the hit series jumps back into action for Season 2.
Based on the Edgar Award-winning, nine-book “Karl Alberg” series by acclaimed novelist L.R. Wright, the series stars Rossif Sutherland (Reign, The Handmaid’s Tale) and Kristin Kreuk (Smallville, Beauty and the Beast).
Season 2 adds new series regular Oscar-winner Marcia Gay Harden (Pollock, So Help Me Todd) as Mayor Christie Holman, a practicing doctor, beloved figure in the community, and a consummate political operator. She has the best interests of the people of Gibsons at heart, but sometimes lets her personal interests take precedence, as she complicates life for Karl and Cassandra.
Murder in a Small Town follows Karl Alberg (Sutherland), who moves to a quiet, coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work. He quickly learns that this gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets as he calls upon his world-class detective skills to solve the murders that continue to wash up on his shore. Kreuk stars as Cassandra Lee, a local librarian who becomes Karl’s muse, foil and romantic interest.
Throughout the series, viewers will experience this beautiful undercurrent of human nature coursing through the series, the characters are redemptive and optimistic and the town is idyllic.
Murder in a Small Town also features recurring guest stars Bethany Brown, Marci T House, Joshua Close and more.

Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner Camryn Manheim (Law & Order, The Practice) as Jocelyn Tait, an iron-tough, working-class matriarch, who has lived her life in the shadow of a family feud and comes to Gibsons for a “Romeo and Juliet-style” wedding
Malcolm Jamal Warner in his last TV appearance ( episode 3) Warner plays Richard Buscombe, a protective father who becomes a lead suspect in a murder investigation when his ex-wife is killed just after returning to town. Still heartbroken years after the split, Richard wears his anger and pain on his sleeve, but his only goal in life is to keep his daughter safe.
Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) as Ryan, a former party boy turned holistic health aficionado, who is desperate to leave behind a reckless past
Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country, Accused) as Lanni Soo, a career-driven and straight-forward, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney General, who approaches Alberg with an intriguing case
Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek) reprises his role as Tommy Cummins, the unassuming high school art teacher whose greatest work put him behind bars
Season 2 of Murder in a Small Town debuts on Tuesday, September 23 (8:00-9:00 pm ET/PT) on Global and STACKTV.
