BEVERLY D'ANGELO DISCUSSES HER NEW THRILLER "SLEEPWALKER" AND MUCH MORE!
/Beverly D’angelo will always been known as Ellen Griswold and she is completely fine with that, but there is much more to her that fans have grown to love and admire.
Beverly D'Angelo rose to stardom as Ellen Griswold in the National Lampoon's Vacation films, and at 74 is reflecting on her amazing career.
The beloved actress, who originated the role of Ellen Griswold alongside Chevy Chase‘s Clark W. Griswold in the first Vacation film in 1983, played the iconic role of Ellen in several follow-ups, including 1989’s beloved holiday version,Christmas Vacation.
She can currently be seen in the new thriller Sleepwalker, out on demand opposite Hayden Panettiere. The film centers around a grieving mother ( Panettiere) who is haunted by the tragic loss of her daughter in a car accident that left her abusive husband in a coma. Plagued by haunting visions, she grapples with the blurred lines between reality and nightmare. D’Angelo plays her mother, Gloria.
It’s a role that comes at a great time in D’Angelo’s life and she couldn’t be happier to talk about it, why she wanted to be a part of it and loves reminsicing about her career and how grateful she is for everything she has accomplished over the years.
I had a chance to catch up with Beverly D’Angelo and we had the most lovely chat about everything from Sleepwalking to the lasting fascination with the Vacation movies and her friendship with Chevy Chase.
