THE DANCING DETECTIVE: A DEADLY TANGO - INTERVIEW WITH STARS LACEY CHABERT and WILL KEMP

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has a brand new movie that will literally sweep you off your feet!

Filmed entirely on location in Malta, the movie reunites Chabert and Kemp who previously starred together in the Hallmark Channel movies “The Christmas Waltz” and “Love Romance & Chocolate.”

Constance Bailey (Chabert) is a no-nonsense detective, who insists on doing things her way, which usually means doing everything alone. She gets results, but her inability to keep a partner is holding her back in her career. When global ballroom company Aston International’s CEO is murdered at a luxurious resort in Malta on the eve of a company event, strings are pulled with Interpol to send Detective Bailey to investigate. With the event – a high-stakes ballroom competition between the company’s senior executives – moving forward as planned, Bailey is sent undercover as Aston’s newest hire.

The only problem? Bailey can’t dance. To convincingly compete, Bailey reluctantly teams up with charismatic and free-spirited British dancer and actor Sebastian Moore (Kemp) who poses as her husband. Moore’s crime-solving instincts are as good as his footwork, even if the only thing he knows about detective work came from watching too much TV. He soon helps Bailey to relax on the floor and in her work. But with a killer still on the loose and a growing list of suspects, if Detective Bailey to solve this puzzling case, she’s going to have to learn to trust her partner.

Lacey Chabert’s resume is as extensive as it is versatile. Consistently delivering memorable performances, she has become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after talents. Best known for her role as Claudia on the Golden Globe Award®-winning FOX television series “Party of Five,” Chabert has appeared on ABC Family’s “Baby Daddy,” ABC’s “All My Children” as well as in several made-for-TV movies and several Hallmark Channel Original Movies.

Chabert’s feature film credits include Warner Bros.’ Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, starring opposite Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey; box office hit Mean Girls, for which she received outstanding reviews and an MTV Movie Award and many others. Chabert has starred in over 3 dozen movies for Hallmark Media and has served as executive producer on a number of movies, including the hugely successful “The Wedding Veil” trilogies.

An accomplished dancer, Will Kemp began his dance training at the age of nine. He has danced in lead roles on Broadway and the West End. On film he appeared in Van Helsing, alongside Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale, and in Mindhunters, alongside Val Kilmer and Christian Slater. His other film credits include: Step Up 2: The Streets. On the small screen, he has appeared in many Hallmark Channel Original Movies. Other TV series credits include “90210,” “Nikita,” “New Tricks,” and more recently “Spinning Out,” “Doom Patrol,” “Code Black,” “Reign” and “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce.” Kemp previously starred opposite Lacey Chabert in “Christmas Waltz” and “Love, Romance & Chocolate” on Hallmark Channel.
