SUZE - CHATTING WITH STARS MICHAELA WATKINS and SARA WAISGLASS

If you see any movie this weekend, do yourself a favour and check out, Suze!

It’s about time veteran character actress Micahel Watkins has been given a role to show off her extraordinary talents!!! Michaela stars in the new Canadian Indy, Suze and this movie is about as wonderful as a movie gets and gives you ALL the feels.

Suze tells the story of Susan, a mother ( Michaela Watkins) who after being dumped by her husband is so consumed with giving her daughter everything that she doesn’t have a life of her own. Her daughter Brooke, a high school senior is about to graduate and to Susan’s horror, her daughter has decided to study at McGill University, a four-hour drive away.

Unbekownst to Susan she is about to embark on a friendship with Brooke’s boyfriend, long-haired musician Gage, ( Charlie Gillespie) whom she initially couldn’t stand but after spending some time with and really getting to know him she becomes not only a good friend to Gage but a surrogate mom.

Although the story starts out like a movie about an empty nester it turns into so much more as it delves into the characters and how their connection grows over time.

Michaela Watkins is absoluely wonderful as Suze and plays her with humor and depth. Sara Waisglass who fanns will know from her hit series, Ginny and Georgia gives a stand out performance as Brooke, but it is Charlie Gillespie who brings so much warmth and love to the film. Even though he is well known for his roile in Netflix’s Julie and The Phantoms Charlie is on his way to stardom!

I had the opoportunity to chat with both Michaela Watkins and Sara Waisglass about this fantastic movie.
