PERCY JACKSON and THE OLYMPIANS - CATCHING UP WITH STARS LEAH SAVA JEFFRIES,ARYAN SIMHADRI& WALKER SCOBELL

Season One of the hit Disney+ Original Series PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS is wrapping up and we get the scoop from the stars!

Based on Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series by award-winning author Rick Riordan, "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who's just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.

With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus. Percy’s journey will lead him closer to the answers he seeks: how to fit into a world where he feels out of place, and find out who he’s destined to be.

Walker Scobell is thrilled to portray iconic character Percy Jackson as the books series has always been one of his favorites and it has been so exciting to be a part of this new iteration. Walker is best known for his breakout performance opposite Ryan Reynolds in Shawn Levy’s “The Adam Project,” for Netflix. The film remains one of the most watched original features for the platform and earned Walker & Ryan an MTV movie award nomination for Best Team.

Walker can also be seen as the lead of Paramount+ action feature, “Secret Headquarters”, opposite Owen Wilson and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Next, he will be seen playing a key role in independent feature “Blood Knot” opposite Michael Douglas. In 2022, Walker appeared on Variety’s coveted Variety Young Hollywood Impact report securing him as one of Hollywood’s rising stars.

Aryan Simhadri, who plays Percy’s quest mate Grover, has been acting for over a decade from commercials to Disney Channel starring roles. He got his break in Movies with Netflix/WWE movie "The Main Event". He has been seen as the lead in Disney Channel’s original movie, “Spin,” the first to feature a South East Asian-Indian cast as the leads. Most recently he had a great role in the Disney+ reboot of “Cheaper By The Dozen” alongside Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union. Continuing to work on his craft, his improv skills were finely tuned when he was cast on Disney’s “Just Roll With It” where the audience chose what happened in the scenes, and the actors must “roll with it”. He has also extended his reach into voice-over work, where you can hear him in movies like “The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run”. He also lends his voice to Paramount Television’s “Adventures in Wonder Park” as ‘Banky’ and most recently, the role of ‘Tiffany’ in the award winning “Adventure Time” series television movie “Distant Lands” and Disney's "Mira, The Royal Detective.”

Leah Sava Jeffries was born in the Metro Detroit area and started her career appearing in local commercials when she was a mere three years old. Leah went on to appear alongside Taraji P. Henson in FOX’s “Empire”, as Lil Rey Howery’s daughter, ‘Erica’ on the FOX comedy, “Rel”, and more. Most recently, Leah played ‘Norah Samuels’ in the Universal Pictures thriller, “Beast”, opposite Idris Elba, and ‘Daisy’ in the Amazon Original, “Something from Tiffany’s” from Hello Sunshine before transforming into ‘Annabeth Chase’ for the Disney+ series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.”
