MISSION IMPOSSIBLE:DEAD RECKONING (PART ONE) HENRY CZERNY RETURNS TO THE ICONIC FRANCHISE

Hang on! Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning (P!) is going to blow you away!

The much anticipated action-spy film starring none other than Tom Cruise is directed by Christopher McQuarrie from a screenplay he co-wrote with Erik Jendresen. It is the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series.

Dead Reckoning Part One sees Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt, whose IMF team are confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful artificial intelligence known as "the Entity". The ensemble cast also features Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga and Henry Czerny.

After 17 years away from the Mission: Impossible franchise, Toronto’s own Henry Czerny has once again accepted the mission. The veteran Canadian actor returns to his role as Eugene Kittridge, director of the Impossible Missions Force (IMF) in the blockbuster franchise.

Dead Reckoning: Part One sees Kittridge back atop the IMF ranks and butting heads with covert agent Ethan Hunt. There’s a lot of bad blood between the characters after things went down in the 1996 Mission: Impossible. The first installment saw the director and the agent suspect one another of leaking agents’ identities to terrorists. You immediately feel the tension between Kittridge and Hunt in Dead Reckoning from their first action-packed encounter.

I had the opportunity to catch up with Henry Czerny via ZOOM to get his take on KIttridge, if he can be trusted and the marvel that is Tom Cruise!
