The Mad Max master has returned and he is back with a vengence. Director George Miller, who thirty years ago first introduced movie going audiences to road warrior Mad Max (Mel Gibson) has brought us back to the post apocalyptic world with, Mad Max:Fury Road. Co-written, produced and directed by Miller directed, this is  the fourth film of Miller's Mad Max franchise.  Fury Road stars Tom Hardy as "Mad" Max Rockatansky, making it also the first Mad Max film not to feature Mel Gibson in the title role. The film also stars Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult.

Preggoland is one of those movies for anyone who has had a baby, is trying to have a baby or has no intentions of having a baby.  It is a completely relatable fun, hilarious, and extremely well written comedy-drama about our societal obsession with pregnancy and babies.

SONGS SHE WROTE ABOUT PEOPLE SHE KNOWS tells the story of Carol, an emotionally repressed woman, who loses friends and alienates people when she begins singing songs she wrote about people she knows.  When she unexpectedly inspires her boss, to whom she dedicates the song ASSHOLE DAVE, to attempt to reignite his dream of becoming a rock star, Carol is forced to confront her fear of intimacy and her issues with her mother.  As Dave flounders in his quest for rock and roll glory, Carol continues to hone her creative voice, pouring all of her money into her debut LP, SONGS SHE WROTE ABOUT PEOPLE SHE KNOWS.

Far from the Madding Crowd is a sweeping romantic drama directed by Thomas Vinterberg that stars Carey Mulligan, Matthias  Schoenaerts, Michael Sheen, Tom Sturridge, and Juno Temple. It is an adaptation of the 1874 novel of the same name by Thomas Hardy.  Set in Victorian England, Mulligan plays Bathsheba Everdene, an independent and headstrong farm owner who attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak (Matthias  Schoenaerts), a sheep farmer; Frank Troy (Tom Sturridge), a reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood (Michael Sheen), a prosperous and mature bachelor. This film marks the fourth time this novel became a film: the second version was directed by John Schlesinger in 1967 with Julie Christie.

You may not be that familiar with the name Ari Millen but over the next few months life is going to change drastically for this young man. Ari Millen is a 33-year old Canadian film, television and stage actor who is best known for playing Mark Rollins in the science fiction series Orphan Black. Last year it was decided that instead of killing off his character on the wildly popular television series, they would make him the new clone giving the brilliant Tatiana Maslany a run for her money.

Just in time for Earth Day, Disney Nature Films gives us their latest and eighth offering, Monkey Kingdom. It's a lavish nature documentary that follows a newborn monkey and its mother as they struggle to survive within the competitive social hierarchy of the Temple Troop, a dynamic group of monkeys who live in ancient ruins found deep in the storied jungles of South Asia.

Elizabeth McGovern is an American film, television, and theater actress, and musician. who has been working for many years.  She received an Oscar nomination for her role as Evelyn Nesbit in the 1981 film Ragtime. Some of her other films include  Ordinary People (1980), Once Upon a Time in AMerica (1984), The Handmaid's Tale (1990) and The Wings of a Dove  (1997), but it is her role as Lady Grantham (a.k.a. Cora Crawley) for the last five seasons on the hit television series Downton Abbey that has made her an international superstar. She has been nominated for an Emmy Award and Golden Globe for her role.  Her time on Downton will be coming to an end as sadly the show's creator and writer Julian Fellows announced that the upcoming 6th season will be the last.  

Move over Clint, there's a new movie cowboy in town and it seems he's learned a thing or two from you. Scott Eastwood, son of Hollywood veteran Mr. Clint Eastwood, is breaking out with his first leading man role in the new Nicholas Sparks book-turned-movie, "The Longest Ride". Scott has actually been in a few of his father's films in some smaller roles, but was billed under the name of Scott Reeves. With his inclusion in this year's "People Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive" list - Eastwood is finally embracing his famous name and is stepping out of his famous dad's shadow.

Dame Helen Mirren says she only takes on roles when she feels connected to them. In her latest film,The Woman In Gold, she definitely connected with real life subject Maria Altmann an elderly Jewish survivor of World War II, who sues the Austrian government for the return of artwork the Nazis stole from her family

You've just got to love Netflix. Ripe with original content the streaming service is delivering the goods week after week with amazing content that keeps  viewers intrigued and watching. Their latest addition which went up on March 20th is the steamy new series, Bloodline. Set in the Florida Keys, the family thriller comes from the creators of the Emmy-nominated series Damages and boasts an impressive all star cast that includes, Kyle Chandler, Sissy Spacek, Sam Sheppard and Linda Cardellini.

Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart team up in the new comedy, Get Hard which turns into an unintentional hardcore bromance. This is the first time the two funnymen appear on the big screen together and despite their noticeable height difference, comedically they are on a level playing field. 

With the huge success of author Veronica Roth's Divergent Series novels, there was no doubt that Hollywood would come a calling turning them into smash hits for the big screen. The first installment, Divergent had huge numbers at the box office (over 300 million worldwide) and the film makers are hoping that the next film, Insurgent will follow suit.
